Kids Course and Minimum Age
What 's the MINIMUM age to participate?
Participants must be 12 years or over to run The Summit Survivor, and 4-12 to run the kids course. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign their waiver form on their behalf.
'Kids Survivor' Kids Mud Run!
Kids Survivor is a custom-designed obstacle course for kids aged 4 - 12. Kids tackle 23 obstacles across over 1.3km in a unique and empowering opportunity, for kids to experience an awesome sense of achievement! Listening to feedback in 2015, in 2016 & 2017 we continue to make the kid's course bigger, muddier and more challenging!
An adult (a person over 18) is required to supervise your kid/s as they run the course. Your level of involvement is your choice. You can just hang around making sure they are having a great time and to high-five your kid survivor! An awesome Medal awaits them as they cross the finish line! See more on our Kids page.

Is There Accommodation Available At The Summit Survivor Location?
For the first time ever, YES there will be accommodation available on-site, staying at The Summit Adventure Park.
Check-in on Friday 20th November at 2pm with a 9:30am check out, OR check in Saturday 21st November at 2pm with a 9:30am check-out. Bookings are essential!
What's the Accommodation Look Like
There are two different styles of accommodation available, cabin accommodation and 5 star tent accommodation, for groups of 4 up to 22 per cabin/tent.
How Much Will It Cost?
Prices start from as low as $40 per person per night depending on the accommodation style and the number of guests you have. Click here to see the different accommodation styles available. Accommodation payment is due in full within 2 weeks of booking confirmation.
What Do I Need To Bring?
All accommodation requires you bring your own linen eg. pillow, doona/sleeping bag, sheet & towel.
Will There Be Parking Available?
All parking will be located at the entrance of The Summit Adventure Park (home of Summit Survivor).

How Do I Buy my T-Shirt or Gloves?
Order your 2020 Summit Survivor T-Shirt and/or gloves when you register. If you haven't registered yet, you can still order a t-shirt and/or gloves online here. Your purchases will be available for pick-up on event day. Please note, no merchandise will be posted out.
How fit do I need to be to take part?
There is no time limit to complete the course. SUMMIT SURVIVOR is a challenge of agility, strength and determination but you don’t have to be a super fit athlete to take part – the event is for anyone regardless of your fitness level as long as you’re prepared to have a good time, get dirty and can swim 30m. You can run, walk or crawl your way along the course, whatever you’re capable of doing.
Will our finish time be recorded?
No, there will be no electronic timing at SUMMIT SURVIVOR. If you want to time your run, bring your own watch.
How long does it take to complete the course?
An average entrant can be expected to finish the course between 1 to 3 hours depending on fitness levels.
Can I view the course in advance?
There are no course inspections prior to your run....but you can check the course layout HERE
Will there be water stations along the course?
There will be 4 water stations at intervals along the course and also at the finish line.
Is it safe?
There are risks associated with this style of event and all participants will need to sign a waiver prior to taking part. First Aid personnel will be present on the day.
Do I have to complete every obstacle?
SUMMIT SURVIVOR promotes challenge by choice, so you don’t have to do any of the obstacles you're not comfortable with and there are no penalties for not completing an obstacle. You have as long as you like to complete the course, there are no time restrictions.
Must I be able to swim to take part?
Yes, however, participants who are non‐swimmers are able to bypass the water obstacles.
Wave Changes and Refunds
How do I change my wave/start time?
Participants can change their wave time by logging into their dashboard and selecting the CHANGE WAVE button in the top right side of the screen. Team captains can change wave times of the entire team.
Please note, if you are unable to select a particular time, it may be that the selected wave time is full. This can occur particularly as we get closer to the event date, as many wave times will be full.
Changing wave time for the entire team:
If you are in a team... your TEAM CAPTAIN will need to change the wave time of YOUR ENTIRE TEAM.
1. Click 'LOGIN' at the top right corner of this page and enter your email and password.
2. Once in your dashboard, select the ACTION button (on right-hand side opposite the team captain's name) and select change wave time.
*ONLY TEAM CAPTAINS can change wave time of the entire group.
The wave my friends are in is closed, what can I do?
Once wave registration reaches full capacity, team members will not be able to join, even if invited by a team captain. New members will need to join another wave (close to their team) OR the whole team can move to a different wave time using the change wave process (see details above).
Team Captains can change the wave of all members of their team through their dashboard. We recommend getting your team to sign up early to avoid disappointment.
I can't make it any more or I am injured. Can I withdraw/get a refund?
If you have registered and paid and are unable to make the event we will facilitate you to transfer your ticket. Your ticket can be transferred to another person. The event organizer WILL NOT REFUND your ticket if you change your mind or you can no longer participate in the event for any reason whatsoever.
Transfers to another person online must be completed no later than 5 days before the event. Tickets cannot be transferred under any circumstances after the above-mentioned time frames.
How to transfer your ticket to another person
A participant can transfer their ticket to another person up to 5 days before the event which the ticket was purchased for. The person who is transferring their ticket will need to email the team on with the new participants' full name, email address, mobile phone number and date of birth.
When will I receive all the pre‐event information?
One week before the event, you will receive an email outlining all the important event information you will need to know.
Can the SUMMIT SURVIVOR sell out?
SUMMIT SURVIVOR is set to be a sell-out. Registrations are limited so get in quick so you don't miss out on one of the MOST FUN day of the year! Registrations will close once maximum capacity is reached.
What happens at the finish line?
All participants will receive a SUMMIT SURVIVOR race medal and an AWESOME sense of achievement! You'll get great memories of an EPIC day out!
What time do gates open on the day?
The event starts at 8:00 am with the Ultimate Survivors (the Obstacle Course Racing Association league) kicking it off for the day. You should arrive 1 hour before your start time and participants are required to be at the start line at least 15mins before your scheduled start wave time. Out on the course, there may be hold-ups at certain obstacles so please take your time and help out other participants. This is a great chance to catch a breath and take in some of the atmosphere. Registration for the event will be open from 7:00 am on the day.
Can I bring my own food to the event?
Food is not permitted to be bought into the event area. There will be a variety of great food and drink stalls available to purchase at the event, and by doing this you will also help to support our local community groups!
What do I need to wear?
Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting ruined as you will be getting extremely dirty from head to toe, possibly losing items in the mud. You will also need to be wearing a pair of closed-toe shoes to protect your feet from the rough terrain (hint: do not wear your brand new $200 runners). It’s also a great idea to wear a pair of protective gloves which are for sale when you register.
Fancy dress costumes are always an awesome idea - there are prizes for the best-dressed team, and individual!! So dress-up and have a laugh!
What do I need to bring?
You must bring a photo ID and present this to collect your race pack. Bring cash for parking ($10 per car) and for food, drinks, and merchandise if you wish. It's a good idea to leave a change of clothes and some old towels in your car as well as a plastic bag to take your dirty clothes home in.
What if it rains on the day?
The event will go ahead rain, hail or glorious sunshine, however, the event promoter reserves the right to cancel or postpone the event on the day in the case of dangerous weather or for any other reason. If the event has to be canceled due to extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, acts of God, terrorism, war or any other reason deemed reasonable by the event organizers, the event will be re‐scheduled where possible.
No refunds will be issued, however, the credit will be transferred to the new event date. In the unlikely event that the event has to be canceled or postponed, all participants will be contacted by email and SMS, updates will be posted on the SUMMIT SURVIVOR website homepage at and Facebook page at If you are in doubt as to whether the event will be proceeding as planned, please check the SUMMIT SURVIVOR website.
Are there showers?
There will be COLD showers provided to wash off after the event. The final obstacle is a water-based activity and which gives you a good chance to wash off the muck, mud, and sweat from the course.
Are spectators welcome to attend?
Spectators are welcome to come along and watch all the action unfold however spectators must not interfere with participants or attempt to do any of the obstacles. There is no entry fee for spectators to attend the event however spectators will be subject to the $10 parking fee per vehicle.
Will there be food available to purchase on the day?

Yes! A variety of food will be available for purchase on the day.
Do you offer childcare at the event?
No, there is no childcare or creche available at the event.
Where can I store my valuables on the day?
A cloakroom will be available for you to store any belongings on the day however we recommend you leave any valuables at home. While all care will be taken please note SUMMIT SURVIVOR takes no responsibility for any items that may be lost or damaged in the cloakroom.
Am I able to set up a small marquee/tent to use as a base for my team at the event?
As we have a number of official event sponsors and exhibitors who have paid to have a presence at SUMMIT SURVIVOR, unfortunately, we are not able to allow marquees or tents from non‐sponsors/exhibitors at the event. We will have a free cloakroom for your convenience where you can store your belongings or you can leave these in your car in the car park which will be a short walk from the event area.
Is there car parking available?
Car parking is available at the event for a $10 fee per vehicle. We encourage everyone to carpool to save the environment (and money). The parking fee is payable to the parking attendants on arrival at the event in cash only.
There will be a FREE Shuttle Bus running all day from the car park.
Can I bring pets?
Unfortunately, Summit Survivor is a pet-free event as we have lots of wildlife onsite that we are keen to protect.
How much are the insurance fees?
Each ticket is subject to a compulsory personal accident insurance fee of $10.00.
What is the mandatory personal accident insurance?
A $10.00 personal accident insurance fee is included as a mandatory item on all registrations for SUMMIT SURVIVOR. This insurance provides participants with a basic level of cover in the event that you are injured whilst participating in SUMMIT SURVIVOR. This insurance is compulsory for all participants, regardless of what other insurance you may have in place. The personal accident insurance arranged for this event is a basic policy and as such it is strongly recommended that all participants take out their own private health insurance and income protection insurance etc before participating in the event. SUMMIT SURVIVOR makes no representations as to the adequacy or appropriateness of the cover provided for each person’s individual circumstances and we recommend that you discuss these requirements with a financial services provider.
